Developing your website

Service front-end developpeur Pixel Salad

There are two kinds of developer, the back-end one, and the front-end. The back-end one is the hidden part of the code. He is often described as the submerged part of the iceberg. He will be in charge of the servers and the database. The front-end developer is the one in charge of the visible website. The elements that you can see and interact with on your screen. through the use of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, he will manipulate those elements into a coherent structure, acting on marges, fonts, colors, images, texts…

What is html?

HTML is not a programming language; it is a markup language that defines the structure of your content. HTML consists of a series of elements, which you use to enclose, or wrap, different parts of the content to make it appear or act a certain way (images, texts, titles, links…). it is the raw form of a web page. CSS is then used with it to give it form.

What is CSS?

The Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), interpreted by the browser, allows the transformation of the raw HTML content by integrating the styles, like margins, colors, fonts…

What is Javascript?

It’s a programming language that is inserted in HTML. It is primarily used to enhance web pages to provide a more user-friendly experience (dynamically updating web pages, user interface enhancements such as menus and dialog boxes, animations, 2D and 3D graphics, interactive maps, video players, and more). This mode of JavaScript usage in the web browser is also referred to as client-side javascript.

An example of a front-end dev project

Canvas is an HTML object that allows to render images dynamically. In other words, it’s an empty frame where you can draw, with JavaScript for example. The image underneath is generated this way in real time and can be entirely customized. See the project’s page

The development can start when your website mockups have been entirely approved. I will then code them in HTML, CSS, and Javascript to put them online.
